New Delhi: In a crowded smartphone market in India, new entrant LeEco has set a new industry benchmark by selling five lakh Le 1s Eco models in 100 days.

Not only this, the Chinese internet and technology conglomerate also notched up an industry first as it bundled content worth over Rs 500 million through LeEco memberships.

“It is very humbling to see consumer enthusiasm for our content ecosystem, and their demand for more and more original content,“ Atul Jain, COO, LeEco India, said in a statement.

The device costing Rs 9,999 comes with a free one-year LeEco membership programme worth Rs 4,900 where users can have access to over 2,000 movies (in 10 languages) and over 100 live TV channels.

The users also get 5TB cloud personal storage space and over 3.5 million songs in 25 languages which will come live in the third quarter this year, the company said in a statement.

The device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and a mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner.
