New Delhi: Motorola, which is now owned by Lenovo, is all set to launch its flagship Moto Z series at Lenovo’s Tech World Conference on June 9.
Just ahead of the launch, hellomotoHK has shared some photos on its Facebook page which suggest that the new Moto Z series will come with swappable back covers.
The leaked images show that the back covers will come in an array of textures including leather, nylon and wood. Although it is not clear whether the back cover will be entirely replaceable or not but we know the Moto Z will be a semi-modular smartphone.
Lenovo currently owns Motorola and is already in the process of integrating the Moto division into its main phone business.
According to reports, Motorola will launch the Moto Z in two variants codenamed as Vertex and Vector. While Vertex is said to have Snapdragon 625 processor and full HD display, Vector is expected to be the higher end model with Snapdragon 820 processor and 4K display.
Motorola will also sell “Moto modules” along with the Moto Z which are likely to connect to 16 pin connectors seen at the back of these covers to enhance the functionality of the device.
