New Delhi: Fitness bands and smartwatches are gaining a lot of popularity among consumers, thanks to different apps which are key to their success. The more useful and different the apps are for a wearable device, the more these devices prove to be beneficial to all the existing users and even attract new buyers.
Now, a new app has been released for the Pebble's Time smartwatches that tells you when you're happy, sad or in between. It will also tell how you may be able to improve your mood.
The Happiness app is part of Pebble's goal to more beyond just your health and fitness by getting a sense of your emotional well-being.

The app is compatible only with the Pebble Time, Time Steel and Time Round smartwatches. But it works with Apple iPhones and Android phones. Pebble 2 is priced at $99 (Rs. 6000 approx.) and will start shipping in September and Pebble Time 2 is priced at $169 (Rs. 11,000 approx.) and is likely to launch in November.
How does it work?
The Happiness app pops up on the Pebble watch screens every one hourly and asks a few question. You will be asked to rate your mood and energy level. It also asks you where you are, who you're with and which activities and tasks you've done over the past hour.
All these activities include eating and drinking; exercising; socializing; working; attending meetings; and meditating. You can also write in with your own custom responses.
And at the end of the week, Pebble will send you a report through an email with details and results based on your responses.
