Having pioneered the concept of on-board Yoga, low-cost carrier SpiceJet recreated the effect today on ‘International Yoga Day’. SpiceJet crew performed Yoga asanas on board in 30 flights to celebrate the day. SpiceJet, which introduced its initiative - ‘High on Yoga@35000 feet’ two years back, yet again executed the program scheduled for 21st June 2017. Passengers were seen participating in performing travel-friendly asanas themselves while seated.
“SpiceJet continues to offer Yoga on board without compromising on passenger safety and within regulatory compliances on its select long haul flights on a regular basis”, the company said in a statement. The airline, in partnership with the Isha Foundation, has constituted a unique program wherein SpiceJet’s crew, trained by foundation’s instructors, perform Upa-Yoga practices specifically designed to be done on board its long-haul flights.Around 170 SpiceJet crew members specially trained to perform Upa-Yoga undertake a ten minutes session on board, across the SpiceJet network, on a regular basis.
