New Delhi: Huawei’s Honor brand has confirmed that it will launch its next flagship smartphone ‘Honor 8’ at an event on July 11.
The company has, however, launched a teaser on its official Chinese website that confirms the launch date. It also hints that the Honor 8 may sport a dual-rear camera setup.
According to all the leaks and rumours, the Honor 8 smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch full-HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 2900mAh battery, octa-core Kirin 950 processor, 4GB of RAM and NFC. The handset might come with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options and include features such as fingerprint scanner, infrared and USB Type-C ports.
Earlier this month, Honor 5C was launched in India at a price of Rs. 10,999. The smartphone has gone on sale today via Flipkart and HiHonor.com. The smartphone comes with a 15-month warranty, and screen replacement warranty for the first month.
The Honor 5C features a 5.2-inch full-HD display and is powered by the company's in-house HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core processor (4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz + 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2GHz); 2GB of RAM; packs 16GB of storage; expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB); sports a 13-megapixel rear camera; 8-megapixel front camera; fingerprint scanner, and a 3000mAh battery.
