HTC 10 Launching tomorrow: Price, specs and features

New Delhi: HTC is gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphone, HTC 10 in India on May 26. HTC 10 was globally unveiled in April, and is priced at $680 (Rs. 46,000 approx.)

New Delhi: HTC is gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphone, HTC 10 in India on May 26. HTC 10 was globally unveiled in April, and is priced at $680 (Rs. 46,000 approx.) in the US.

HTC 10 is expected to be the saviour smartphone for the Taiwanese company, which used to be on the list of top smartphone vendors till a few quarters back. But the sales for the company have fallen drastically and it has been trying to make a comeback with the HTC 10 premium smartphone. HTC 10 will have a tough competition with high-end premium smartphones, which include Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge and LG G5.

Here are some of the specifications that the HTC 10 will bring along:

HTC 10 features and specifications

HTC 10 features a 5.2-inch 2K display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2 Ghz. It comes with 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage space. There’s a micro-SD slot as well with 2TB capacity. It also comes with a new BoomSound technology, Dolby Surround Sound and best in class DAC. The HTC 10 also boasts a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Sense UI.

HTC 10 camera

The HTC 10 features a 12 megapixel camera with HTC’s Ultrapixel technology rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and 4K video recording capabilities. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with OIS, and the world’s first ‘stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording capabilities. The company claims that the front camera is able to capture up to 256 times more detail than standard recordings.

HTC 10 battery and connectivity

The smartphone has a 3000 mAh battery, and HTC has claimed up to 27 hours of talk time on this smartphone. The device supports Quick Charge 3.0 and the HTC 10 can get to 50 per cent charge in just under 30 minutes. It also supports USB Type-C charging. In terms of connectivity the HTC 10 packs in 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC.
