ShopClues registers five-fold growth in business during 10-day Diwali sale

Online shopping marketplace ShopClues has registered a five-fold growth in its business on account of the overwhelming response it received from across the country during its 10-day Diwali Sale that went on from October 1 to October 10.

“The Diwali Sale has received positive consumer feedback with 50% increase in demands from Tier II and Tier III markets as compared to Tier I,” a statement issued by the company said today.

“ShopClues also reported a massive five-fold growth in business within the first two days of the Diwali Sale,” the statement added.

During the 10-day ShopClues Diwali Sale, the average time spent per user on the platform also increased by about 25 per cent.

The highest growth in brand searches have come from Agartala, Guwahati, and Imphal, the company said.

“ShopClues is witnessing a significant growth in demand across various geographies. The amount of consumer engagement that has been generated during this festive season has surpassed our expectations and preliminary projections of the festive activity,” Radhika Aggarwal, co-founder, and CBO, Shopclues.com said.

The platform has witnessed a ten-fold increase in the television as well as feature phone segment on the website. The sales figure of 4G smartphones below Rs 5,000, 32-inch LED TVs below Rs 10,000, and appliance sales have collectively increased five times on the platform.

Computers and camera category recorded a quadruple increase in overall figures, whereas home and footwear category grew by more than three times the initial figure.

Additionally, gifting category this festive season witnessed six times increased sales activity on ShopClues.

The best-selling product on the website was a “Set of 4 Designer Doormats” in Dhamaka Deals as it sold more than 2,500 units within first few hours.
