New Delhi: Google seems to be having a busy year with its own device manufacturing. First were two Nexus smartphones that are in development, and then its own branded smartphone. Now, Google is also working on two Nexus-branded smartwatches that run on Android Wear.
According to reports by Android Police, that gives the latest updates about Android, Google is working on two new Android Wear devices of its own.
Both the watches are codenamed as "Angelfish" and "Swordfish," although there are no pictures or other information revealed yet. The report suggests that the watches are fundamentally different from one another, with one acting as a larger and sportier option while the other is aimed at budget adopters - smaller and without mobile data and GPS.
The watch named Angelfish is supposedly 43.5mm in diameter and will come with LTE, GPS and heart rate tracking.
On the other hand, the smaller Swordfish model is described as resembling the Pebble Time look with Round dial and lacking some the details of the Angelfish model. It will also be available in silver, rose gold and titanium colors.
Both smartwatches will run on Android Wear 2.0 and will also have Google Assistant integrated.
In the meantime, Google is also said to come with two new Nexus smartphones this year. The smartphones are codenamed Marlin and Sailfish.
