Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee today has launched the M6 and M6 Plus smartphones at an event in China. The Gionee M6 will be available from August 6, while the Gionee M6 Plus will be available from August 13 in the Chinese market.
The Gionee M6 is priced at CNY 2,699 (Rs. 27,200 approx.) for its 64GB storage variant, and CNY 2,899 (Rs. 29,200 approx.) for the 128GB storage variant. On the other hand the Gionee M6 Plus 64GB variant is priced at CNY 2,999 (Rs. 30,200 approx.), and the 128GB variant is priced at CNY 3,199 (Rs. 32,200 approx.). Both the smartphones will be made available in Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold colour options.
Gionee M6 comes with a front fingerprint scanner, privacy protection and malware destruction although it lacks the hardware encryption feature. It also packed a 5000mAh battery, M6 Plus comes with 6020mAh battery unit.
M6 features a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, 64GB in-built memory that can be expanded up to 128GB and runs on Amigo 3.2 operating system on top of Android 6.0. M6 sports 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
The Gionee M6 Plus is the larger variant, with a 6-inch full HD Amoled display. The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera.
