New Delhi: Xiaomi recently unveiled its Mi Band 2 fitness tracker, the third in series after the Mi Band and the Mi Band 1s. The Mi Band 2 is priced at 149 Yuan, which is Rs 1,500 approximately. The fitness tracker is announced for China market and will soon be launched in India.
Here are some interesting features about the new Mi Band 2:
OLED Display: The Mi Band 2 comes with an OLED display that shows the step count, current time and heart rate. As the news band has a display you don’t need to constantly check your app. Also, the display is scratch-resistant and also has an anodized physical button that lets you control between different modes.
20-days battery: The Mi Band and Mi Band 1s had a 30-day long battery life. However, the new band, due to the OLED display, has less battery life but the company promises that it will still offer battery life of up to 20-days on a single charge.

Activity tracking: The new fitness tracker is equipped with an energy-efficient ADI accelerometer with upgraded pedometer algorithm that can monitor a range of activities, which includes the number of steps walked, calories burned and more. It also tracks your sleep and displays the number of hours you slept. It has a heart rate sensor, which lets you measure your heart rate while you are working out.
Customized alerts and replaceable bands: You can set customized alerts as a reminder. The Mi Band 2 also comes with silicone bands. It will be available in a range of colors including black, green and orange.
Unlock you device: The Xiaomi band lets you unlock your smartphone, tablet or any other without even having to put any fingerprint or passcodes.
