The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati is known for its tough machines and its Indian rendezvous is quite an exciting so far. Now the manufacturer is ready to add two new bikes in its Indian portfolio.

The company has started accepting bookings for two of its iconic machines - the Multistrada Enduro and the XDiavel.

Both the motorbikes can be booked with a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh while the deliveries are expected to begin from July 2016 onwards. Both the motorcycles made their debut at the 2015 EICMA Show, which was held in Milan.

The Ducati XDiavel is based on the company’s Diavel cruiser motorcycle and gets a greater appeal with a belt drive and few other enhancements.

The XDiavel has been built around a brand new steel tubular trellis frame with a slightly changed single-sided swing arm.

The revised ergonomics of the motorcycle offer a more laid-back riding position. The Ducati XDiavel has been equipped with a 1262cc Testastretta 90° V-Twin with variable valve timing and desmodromic valves engine that generates 155bhp of power along with a torque of 129Nm at 5000rpm.

Other noteworthy features of the motorcycle include traction control, cornering ABS, a launch control system and riding modes.

The Ducati Multistrada Enduro, on the other hand, is a decent off-roader and takes the legacy of the Multistrada 1200S with the edgy cuts and a more comprehensive set of mechanical and technical upgrades.

To improve the off-road potential, the Multistrada Enduro treads on 19-inch front wire spoke wheels with Pirelli tyres.

This off-roader is powered by an 1198cc Testastretta DVT 90° V-twin powerplant that belts out 160bhp of power and 136Nm of peak torque.

Furthermore, the suspension setup of the motorcycle has been raised up in order to make it suitable for different kinds of terrains.

Both the XDiavel and the Multistrada Enduro will sit alongside their standard models. Since these iconic machines will be imported to the Indian shores as CBU units, they are expected to grab heavy custom duties.

As far as the pricing factor is concerned, there are no clues from the manufacturer’s side, we will have to wait till July.
