New Delhi: WhatsApp will finally allow iOS users to to share music, a basic feature which is already available for the Android platform.
This has been revealed by a German site, Macerkopf, which said that the latest beta for iOS hints at the music sharing feature along with larger emojis.
According to a screenshot by the site, users will also be able to see album art appear in their chat threads with a music icon that can be tapped to play the music.

In addition, the iOS users will also get some much-awaited features, which include public groups, mentions and larger emoji.
Another feature that has been added is the larger icons that will let users express themselves better and can be an alternative to stickers since WhatsApp has yet to move beyond the currently available emojis.
Currently, WhatsApp for iOS (version 2.16.6) users can only share images, location, videos, contacts, or documents with their contacts. Though users can receive and play audio files, they can't share locally stored content.
According to recent report, WhatsApp is working on an update that will automatically display GIFs, which can be shared in the conversation. A Twitter account @WABetaInfo, which keeps a track of regular WhatApp beta updates revealed that the WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.16.7.1 is available now, which can be downloaded from the app store.
