New Delhi: Apple has launched the updated version of its thinnest MacBook laptop with faster processors, among other features. Priced at Rs 1,06,900, the 12-inch MacBook will now also be available in rose gold color.
The new MacBook is 13.1mm thin and approximately weighs 900 gram with a battery that is capable of up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing on a single charge.
The updated MacBook comes with sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. It also has new Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25% faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage. For connectivity, MacBook supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Macbook features the same 2304x1440-pixel Retina display as the original model and has 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage at a price of Rs. 1,06,900. The second model costs Rs. 1,29,900 with 512GB of storage.
The MacBook features an all-metal unibody and is available in four aluminium colour variants — gold, silver, space gray, and in rose gold colour.
Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing announced, "MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it's our vision for the future of the notebook. Also customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish."
