With the queues outside banks now shifting to ATMs as people scramble to get their hands on some much-needed cash, another facility rolled out to help the common man after demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes should come in handy for those facing a cash crunch.
Big Bazaar, one of the biggest retail chains of the country, has offered to ease the problems of people. The company today said that any one can withdraw upto Rs 2000 from its outlets using their debit card from Thursday.
“Now one can withdraw 2000rs from Big Bazaar using your debit card from this Thursday onwards,” Kishore Biyani, Founder and CEO of Future Group said.
People can swipe their card at Point of Sale (POS) machines at Big Bazaar outlets for Rs 2000 and take the cash from the counter.
Earlier, petrol pumps had offered the same service. However, the service was limited to pumps where SBI Point of Sale machines are provided.
