New Delhi: Eight popular brands from Gujarat have emerged as category leaders in the study conducted by TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory), a Mumbai-based brand intelligence company.
The Brand Trust Report 2016, which is based on the proprietary 61-Attribute Trust Matrix of TRA, is sixth in the series. The research was conducted among 2,500 consumer-influencers across 16 cities, and created nearly 6 million data points and 20,000 unique brands.
This year TRA made the most intensive study on Brand Trust across the globe.
The 8 category leaders from Gujarat featuring the report are:
Amul: The Taste of India –Amul, also the pride of Gujarat, continues to be the leader in dairy diversified category of Food & Beverages (F&B) business. It has been listed as the 41th position in India. Amul is the only reigning brand in the butter sub-category and its Amulya tops the dairy whitener segment.
Balaji: Gujarat’s love for food is reflected in the F&B Category. The Rajkot-based Balaji wafers have become number one in packaged snacks category, getting better in its rank from 179 last year to 124.
Fogg: Former Paras Pharma promoter Darshan Patel's Fogg has backed all India 67th Rank. It is leading in Deo/Perfume Category leaving behind Axe, Wildstone and Engage to name a few.
Vadilal: Vadilal Industries Ltd's ice cream brand-Vadilal improved in the ranks from 504 in 2015 to 277 this year. Vadilal have gained the leadership position in 2016 in ice-cream category. It is followed by another Ahmedabad-based brand Havmor and creambell.
Sintex: Sintex has ranked in all-India as 214th number in India’s Most Trusted Brand and is leading its position in the Manufacturing-Diversified sub-Category.
Astral: Astral Pipes has come up to be at an all India Rank 870 is the Most Trusted Brand in Pipes Category.
Ajanta: Ajanta has backed an all India Rank 282 is a forerunner in the Home Care Category. It also is leading in the Clocks Sub-Category.
Symphony: Air cooler maker Symphony has entered for the first time in the list of the most trusted brand inIndia. It has come with an all-India Rank of 579 and the Most Trusted Brand in the Coolers Sub–Category of the Durable list.
