New Delhi: Samsung India has launched the 2016 editions of its Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones. The Galaxy J5 is priced at Rs. 13,990 and Galaxy J7 at Rs. 15,990. The smartphones will be available via Flipkart from Tuesday in Radiant Gold, Midnight Black, and Pearl White colour variants.
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016): The smartphone bears metal frames, and succeed the original Samsung Galaxy J5 launched last year. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and comes with 4G (LTE Cat. 4) support. It features a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super Amoled display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz clubbed with 2GB of RAM.
The device comes with 16GB of storage and the handset supports expandable storage support via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Galaxy smartphones sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, while both also feature 5-megapixel front-facing cameras with flash and an f/1.9 aperture. It is backed by a 3100mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016): Same as the J5, this smartphone also comes with metal frames, and are the successors to the original Samsung Galaxy J7. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super Amoled display and is powered by an Exynos (model unspecified) octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz.
It also sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, while both also feature 5-megapixel front-facing cameras with flash and an f/1.9 aperture. It comes with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The handset is backed by a 3300mAh battery and come with 4G (LTE Cat. 4) support.
