In preparation for the upcoming Chhath Puja festival, Indian Railways, specifically the Northern Railway zone, has announced plans to run special trains to accommodate the surge of passengers traveling to Bihar. Chhath Puja is a significant festival in the region, and these special trains aim to facilitate the transportation of devotees and travelers during this festive season.
The Northern Railway issued a statement saying, "All concerned are informed that for the convenience of railway passengers and to clear additional congestion, Railways has decided to run Chhath Puja special trains."

Train Number 03255/03256 - Patna Jn – Anand Vihar Terminal – Patna Jn Superfast Special Train (12 trips)
Train number 03255, Patna Jn-Anand Vihar Terminal Superfast Special train, will depart from Patna Junction at 22:20 hrs every Thursday and Sunday from November 23, 2023, to December 10, 2023, and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 15:00 hrs the next day. For the return journey, train number 03256, Anand Vihar Terminal – Patna Jn Superfast Special train, will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 23:30 hrs every Friday and Monday from November 24, 2023, to December 11, 2023, reaching Patna Jn at 17:20 hrs the next day. This special train offers air-conditioned, sleeper, and general class coaches and will stop at various stations on its route.
