A horrific collision occurred on National Highway 30, near Julona village under the Ramgarh Chowk police station area in Lakshisarai district, Bihar. An autorickshaw and a truck collided head-on with such force that the autorickshaw overturned. There were a total of 14 passengers in the autorickshaw, resulting in 8 fatalities at the scene, while the remaining critically injured individuals were rushed to the nearby hospital for better treatment. Considering the deteriorating condition of the injured, they have been referred to PMCH Patna for further medical care.
An eyewitness present at the scene, Anil Misri, a resident of Mahisona village in Tetarihat police station area, revealed that his brother-in-law, Manoj Kumar, who was driving the autorickshaw, was informed by a driver to pick up some passengers from Halsi and bring them to Lakshisarai. While on the way from Halsi to Lakshisarai, near Julona in the Ramgarh Chowk police station area, a violent collision occurred between the truck and the CNG autorickshaw. Fourteen people were injured in the collision, with eight reported deaths at the scene, while the remaining six were admitted to the district hospital, where one person succumbed to their injuries.
The injured in the accident have been referred to PMCH Patna due to their critical condition, and the possibility of an increase in the number of casualties cannot be ruled out. Inspector Amit Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, revealed that the incident occurred near Julona village. All passengers were traveling from Halsi to Lakshisarai. However, the exact reasons for all passengers coming from Halsi to Lakshisarai are not yet known.
