The 2019 Lok Sabha elections were held in Bihar in seven phases between April 11 and 23. In the elections, BJP won 17 seats, JD(U) won 16 seats, LJP won six seats and the Congress party had to settle with only one seat. In 2014, the BJP, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and RLSP had contested 30, seven and three seats of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. The BJP-led NDA won 31 seats (BJP won 22 seats, the LJP six and RLSP three seats).
