A 12-year-old child who got trapped in the foot of the bridge built on a river located in Nasriganj was declared dead during the rescue operation which continued for almost 22 hours. Earlier, the team reached even in the night, but the child could not be pulled out. The team reached the spot with oxygen cylinders.
Now the people of Pul Nirman Nigam are trying to remove the supported wall. As time passes, the condition of the child's family is getting worse. Even though oxygen is being supplied, the relatives are now demanding the installation of the camera to monitor the child.
Talking about the rescue operation, Bikramganj SDM Upendra Pal said, "The child has been rescued and taken to a hospital in Sasaram. His condition is not normal. NDRF was also engaged in the rescue efforts."
