Hyundai has teased its upcoming subcompact SUV, codenamed QXI. The company has officially released the first teaser video of the upcoming SUV under the project #WhenYouLoveToExplore. The car will be a sub-four-metre SUV that will take on the likes of XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.

The upcoming SUV is codenamed QXi and is expected to be named Hyundai Styx for India. The teaser video of the SUV talks about the new "powerful yet sophisticated machine to explore Performance, Drivability and Comfort", which points to the fact that the new Hyundai QXi will be the company's latest connected technology car.

The car is expected to make its global premiere at 2019 New York International Auto Show that will take place between April17-29. The Hyundai QXi or Styx will be sold in three different engine options that include 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.4-litre petrol engine that will make 100 hp and a 1.4-litre diesel engine that will punch out 90 hp of power.

The car is expected to come loaded with features like large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated seats, multiple airbags as much as seven, reverse parking sensors and camera,  ESC, ABS with EBD, cruise control, panoramic sunroof, coloured MID, voice commands and more. The Hyundai QXi or Styx price in India is expected to be between Rs 7.7 lakh and Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
