Bajaj has relaunched one of its most iconic products in India -- The Bajaj Chetak -- which is now an electric scooter. The Bajaj Chetak Electric has made a comeback in India after 15 years. Sales for the scooter will begin first in Pune and Bengaluru before spreading out to the rest of the country. The launch will give a major boost to the EV sector in India. More two-wheeler makers are likely to follow Bajaj into entering the mainstream EV as technology and accessibility improve with time.

The all-new Bajaj Chetak is available in 6 color options and will be sold in KTM dealerships.

Bajaj Chetak Variants

The Bajaj Chetak Electric comes in 2 variants -- Bajaj Chetak Urbane and Bajaj Chetak Premium. The two variants will cost Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh respectively. 

Bajaj Chetak Engine Specs

The Bajaj Chetak Electric will be powered by a 4kW motor that gives out 16Nm of peak torque. It comes with and IP67-rated 3kWh (48V, 60.3 AH) lithium-ion battery. The battery can be charged by a 15 amp electrical outlet.

Bajaj Chetak Battery

The Battery on the new Bajaj Chetak can be fully charged in 5 hours and upto 25 per cent in an hour. Bajaj is giving the charger complimentary with the scooter and can be installed anywhere as convinient to the costumer. Bajaj is claiming that the battery life is 70,000 km. 

Bajaj Chetak Range

Bajaj is claiming that the all-new Chetak electric will run 95 km in Eco mode and 85 km in the sport mode. 

Bajaj Chetak Warranty

Bajaj is giving a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km with the all-new Bajaj. 

Bajaj Chetak Service

Bajaj recommends that the scooter be serviced within 1 year or 12,000 km whichever is earlier. Three free services will be provided with the scooter. 

Bajaj Chetak Body & Features

The body of the Bajaj Chetak is made of sheet metal. The scooter comes with a digital instrument console sorrounded by satin chrome bezels. Other features in the Bajaj Chetak are LED headlamps, horseshoe-shaped LED DRL, front regenerative braking system. 

The scooter provides details like full charge, remaining charge, and location.

The all-new Bajaj Chetak Electric comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with disc brake at the front and rear at the back.
