One militant was killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Friday. According to reports, a civilian and a soldier also got injured in the encounter.

The duo had received critical gunshot injuries and were immediately shifted to hospital for the treatment of their injuries. However, one of the injured Dilkhush has succumbed to his injuries whereas the condition of other injured is stated to be stable, J&K Police said.

The encounter started at Gundipora in Pulwama on Sunday night after security forces launched a cordon and search operation to track terrorists in the area.

Two of the militants behind Bhat's killing were gunned down in an encounter with security forces that broke out in the Aganhanzipora locality in Pulwama district's Awantipora area on May 26.

The firefight broke out after a joint team of security forces came under heavy fire. 

The woman has been identified as Amreen Bhat, 35, daughter of Khazar Bhat in Chadoora. Her 10-year-old nephew was also injured in the attack. Amreen was a local TV artist.

Police said incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the site of the encounter in Baramulla. A combing and search operation is currently underway.

Both cop and his daughter were rushed to SKIMS hospital after terrorists targeted them but the former succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Saifulla Qadri son of Mohd Syed Qadri resident of Malik Sahib Soura.

TRF is an outfit of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. The Amarnath Yatra is a pilgrimage to the Amarnath temple in Jammu and Kashmir which takes place during the summer months.

TRF or The Resistance Front is an offshoot of the LeT. He said a case has been registered and an investigation was underway.

The officials identified three bodies and said that they all hailed from West Bengal.

The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital and details about their condition are awaited.

The arrested terrorist has been identified as Rizwan Shafi Lone of Handwara.
