Srinagar winter: Srinagar and some other places in Kashmir experienced the coldest night of the season on Wednesday.

Kishtwar Encounter: The operation in the forests of Kuntwara and Keshwan was going on since Thursday evening following the killing of two village defence guards.

Jammu and Kashmir encounter: The gunfight broke out at around 9:00 am in the forest area connecting Dachigam and upper reaches of Nishat area.

The latest encounter comes a day after two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Sopore after the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation in the Baramulla district on Thursday.

Jammu-Kashmir encounter: In another development, Jammu and Kashmir police along with 22RR and 92 BN of the Central Reserve Police Force apprehended one terrorist associate identified as Ashiq Hussain Wani who is a resident of Tujar Shareef in J-K's Sopore.

Jammu-Kashmir: BJP members, including the Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, opposed the resolution, saying it was not part of the listed business.

Speaking at a public event in Baramulla, the J&K Lieutenant Governor urged people to stand up against the terrorism that has plagued the valley for years. He stated that if the forces, the administration, and the people unite, terrorism "will not remain here for more than a year."

The operation began after a joint team of security forces received a tip-off that two armed terrorists, were attempting to cross over into the Lolab area of Kupwara. These terrorists were previously involved in an attack on an army camp along Panhaar Road in Bandipora on November 1.

Srinagar grenade attack: Initial reports indicate that over 10 to 12 civilians were injured in the incident.

Two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, officials said. The encounter broke out near Halkan Gali in the Shangus-Larnoo area of the south Kashmir district.

An intense encounter between security forces and terrorists in Srinagar's Khanyar area escalated following an exchange of gunfire, with forces responding to credible intelligence about the militants' presence.

Jammu and Kashmir: Upon receiving the information, security forces reached the spot and a search operation for the terrorists was launched.

Pulwama Police, in a joint operation, arrested suspected terror associate Danish Bashir and seized ten live Chinese grenades during a routine checkpoint, highlighting ongoing security threats in the region.

Bashir Ahmad Veeri is being questioned at the Humaham police station and has been aked to present his license.

Terrorists opened fire on the Army vehicle in the Bota Pathri area in the evening, when it was headed for the Nagin post in the Afrawat range. The Army vehicle was the part of a convoy.

The police are investigating the reason behind the injury to the non-local labourer. Earlier on October 20, 6 labourers and a doctor were killed in a terrorist attack at an under-construction tunnel in Ganderbal.

Mehbooba Mufti's remark came days after a doctor and six construction workers were killed when terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal district.
