NEET-UG 2024 row: Amid controversy over the NEET paper leak case, the Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on a new petition related to the case for two weeks.

Sheikh Abdul Rashid, popularly known as Engineer Rashid was arrested in 2016 in a terror funding case. He was held under the UAPA law. Since then he has been incarcerated in Tihar jail. After becoming MP from Baramulla, he applied for interim bail to take oath in the parliament.

The Rouse Avenue Court had sent Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till July 12 in the excise policy case.

Liquor policy case: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal was formally arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on June 26 in connection with the excise policy case.

The Delhi High Court reserved its order on the Chief Minister's bail plea on Friday (June 21). The Delhi High Court stayed the bail order until a final decision is pronounced, which is expected by Monday or Tuesday.

A Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case stemming from the alleged excise scam. Special Judge Niyay Bindu granted the relief to the AAP leader on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.

Arvind Kejriwal bail: The judge ordered Kejriwal's release on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh but imposed certain conditions before granting him the relief, including that he will not try to hamper the investigation or influence the witnesses.

Engineer Sheikh Abdul Rashid, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, had contested as an Independent candidate against National Conference leader Omar Abdullah in Baramulla, and emerged victorious. He had sought an interim bail to take oath in the Lok Sabha.

A key petition calling for an investigation into the alleged scam was addressed. Earlier, the Court issued a notice to the NTA but did not halt the counseling process. The AAP plans protests at Jantar Mantar, and the Rajasthan High Court will hear a NEET-related petition on exam delays.

Kumar's judicial custody was ending today as he was sent to judicial custody on June 1 for 14 days. Bibhav Kumar has also moved to the High Court seeking regular bail after his two bail applications were dismissed by the Tis Hazari Court.
