Vat Savitri Purnima Vrat 2022: According to the Hindu calendar, Vat Purnima Vrat is observed on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month. This time this fast is on 14th June. On this day, married women worship the Vat tree by keeping the same fast as the Vat Savitri fast falling on the new moon day of Jyeshtha month. This fast is observed by married women for the long life of the husband, for the attainment of children and for the increase in the happiness and good fortune of the family. According to Acharya Indu Prakash, the importance of bathing and donating takes place on the day on which the tithi is present at the time of sunrise. Vat Savitri Purnima Vrat Shubh Muhurta:

Purnima date of Jyeshtha month starts - 13th June 2022 at 9.02 pm

Full moon date of Jyeshtha month ends - 14th June 2022 till 05.21 pm

Auspicious time for worship: June 14 - 11:54 am to 12:49 pm

Vat Savitri Purnima Vrat Puja Vidhi:

  • On this day, married women wake up in the morning and take bath after retiring from all the work.

  • After that, wear clean clothes and do solah shringaar.

  • They make idols of Savitri and Mother Parvati with cow dung under the banyan tree.

  • If you do not have cow dung, then you can use betel nut. For this, wrap Kalava in two betel nuts and prepare it.

  • After this, make a paste by mixing rice, turmeric and water, then apply this paste to the palms and print it in the banyan seven times.

  • After that offer water to the Vat tree.

  • Then offer fruits, flowers, garlands, vermilion, Akshat, sweets, melons, mangoes, fans and things used in the worship.

  • Now take 14 flour puris and put 2 soaked gram and flour-jaggery dumplings in each puri and keep it in the root of the banyan tree.

  • Then offer water, after that light a ghee lamp and incense.

  • Take a white yarn thread or Kalava and tie it while circumambulating around the tree.

  • After this, married women take soaked gram in their hands and listen to the story of the fast, after that offer this gram.

  • Now take three times the vermilion offered to Mother Parvati and Savitri and apply it to your demand.

  • Now married women can open their fast. For this, take one kopal and 7 gram of banyan tree and eat it with water.
