Nag Panchami 2022: Counted amongst one of the most important days in the Hindu culture, Nag Panchami takes place on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. On the day of Nag Panchami, the auspicious time of worship will be from 05:42 am to 08:24 am. The duration of the worship is 2 hours and 41 minutes.

Relation of Nag Panchami and Shri Krishna:

According to mythology, Kansane sent a serpent named Kaliya to kill Lord Krishna while he was playing with his friends. He first troubled the villagers. People were shocked. One day when Lord Krishna was playing his ball fell into the river. When they came down to the river to bring him, Kaliya attacked them.

Seeing it, Kaliya's life came upon her. Kalia apologized to Lord Krishna and promised never to harm the villagers. The victory of Balakrishna over Kaliya Nag is celebrated as Nag Panchami.
