According to the Hindu calendar, Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This Akshaya Tritiya is also known as Akha Teej. This day comes under the category of auspicious dates throughout the year. This day is also considered to be the beginning of Treta Yuga. This year, Akshaya Tritiya is falling on May 3. This day is considered to be the best time to get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.

On this day Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped according to the rituals. According to astrology, it is forbidden to do some work because doing them can anger Goddess Lakshmi. So in such a situation, let us know what are the things that should not be done on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
Don't get angry
If you want to please Goddess Lakshmi, then do not get angry at all on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. Apart from this, do not create disturbance during the worship of Goddess Lakshmi. Doing this will upset the Goddess. Therefore, on this day the mother should be worshiped with a calm mind and full devotion.

Don't think bad of others
Any person who always wants the bad of others, Goddess Lakshmi never blesses them. So never think bad of anyone. Also, after worshiping Goddess Lakshmi on Akshaya Tritiya, the needy should be given donations and food.
Do not keep the house in the dark
According to beliefs, no corner of the house should be kept in the dark on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. If there is darkness in any part of the house, then definitely light a lamp there. With this, the grace of Mother Lakshmi will always remain in your house.
Do not worship Lakshmi-Vishnu separately
Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu should not be worshiped separately on the day of Akshaya Tritiya to get good luck and happiness. This is because both are husband and wife. Worshiping both of them together on this day gives you inexhaustible virtue.
Don't return home empty-handed
If you have gone out for shopping on Akshaya Tritiya, do not return empty handed. It is not considered auspicious to do so. Come home on this day only with something of silver or gold. But, if it is not possible to buy expensive jewellery, then you can also bring home something made of metal.
Take special care of purity
On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, wake up at Brahma Muhurta and take a bath after retiring from all work. After that put on clean clothes. This is because Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped on this day, so take full care of purity.
Pluck basil after being purified
Tulsi has special significance in Hinduism. Along with this, they are very dear to Lord Vishnu. Therefore, one should never break a Tulsi leaf without taking a bath. By doing this, mother Lakshmi can become angry.
