MEXICO CITY (AP) — A Mexican couple caught carrying dismembered human remains in a baby carriage may have killed as many as 20 women.
The chief prosecutor of Mexico State says the man confessed to 20 killings, but gave details including the names of only 10 victims.
Mexico State is located north and west of Mexico City. The couple was caught last week in Ecatepec, on the northern outskirts of the capital.
State prosecutor Alejandro Gomez told local media Monday the man appeared proud of the killings. It said there were signs he suffered a personality disorder and resented his mother and a previous girlfriend.
Gomez told Radio Formula that investigators have found dismembered remains in two houses and a vacant lot where the man said he dumped them.
