MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Joe Ingles scored 19 points, Rudy Gobert added 15 points and 16 rebounds and the Utah Jazz won their third straight, 96-88 over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
The Jazz broke open a close game in the final six minutes with a 14-5 run. Gobert had eight points in the stretch as Utah built its lead to 11 points in the late stages.
Derrick Favors and Donovan Mitchell finished with 12 points apiece for Utah.
Mike Conley led Memphis with 24 points, while Marc Gasol added 16. Jaren Jackson Jr. and MarShon Brooks finished with 10 points each, and Jackson had 11 rebounds.
The loss was the first at home for Memphis this season.
Neither team could gain much separation in the early stages of the second half, as the game was tied five times and the lead changed four times in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. Both teams shot poorly all night, and there were too many turnovers for either team to generate much momentum.
When Memphis took a six-point lead, Utah answered with eight straight points. That started the Jazz on an 18-7 rally to close the third period.
The first half was particularly ugly, with Utah turning the ball over 11 times to nine times for Memphis.
Ingles had 10 points at halftime, the only player for either team to reach double figures as Memphis carried a 43-40 lead into the break.
