West Bengal Cabinet Reshuffle: The West Bengal government on Wednesday made key changes to the portfolios of four ministers, including three Cabinet members, following approval from Governor CV Ananda Bose, as noted in a home department notification. The reshuffle involved assigning additional responsibilities to several ministers, expanding their roles beyond their existing portfolios.
Veteran Trinamool Congress leader Manas Bhuniya has been appointed as the head of the Irrigation and Waterways department, in addition to his current role overseeing the Water Resources Investigation department. while Babul Supriyo has been assigned the Department of Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction, alongside his existing responsibilities for Information Technology and Electronics.

- Manas Bhuniya: Assigned the Irrigation and Waterways department in addition to his current role in the Water Resources Investigation department. The Irrigation and Waterways department was previously managed by Partha Bhowmick, now a Lok Sabha MP from Barrackpore.
- Babul Supriyo: Appointed to the Department of Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction, while retaining his role in Information Technology and Electronics.
- Md Ghulam Rabbani: Transitioned from the Environment department to the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources, a role previously held by Supriyo.
- Chandrima Bhattacharya: Takes on the Environment Department as an independent charge, in addition to her current responsibilities in Finance, Programme Monitoring, Health and Family Welfare, Land and Land Reforms, Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation, and Planning and Statistics.
