Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday over her remarks over ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha. The PM said threats are being issued against these socio-religious organisations to "appease" TMC's vote bank.
While addressing a rally in West Bengal’s Bishnupur, accused Banerjee of being "under pressure from Muslim fundamentalists" and attacking the saints and monks of the country.
“In their desperation, TMC leaders have started hurling abuses at prestigious organisations like ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, and Bharat Sevashram Sangha. These organisations have brought glory to Bengal, but the CM of the state claims they are ruining Bengal. Under pressure from Muslim fundamentalists, she has publicly insulted our faith,” Modi said.
Earlier in the Purulia rally also the PM made a similar mention saying, “Modi said the TMC has crossed the limits of decency by stooping so low that it is "spreading canards against ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha.” He went on and said, “Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha are known for service and morality, but the chief minister of Bengal is openly threatening them from an open platform...They are threatening them just to appease their vote bank".
Will make TMC's corrupt to sell their bungalows and cars, says PM
He also said that people in Bengal are forced to migrate for employment. This situation should change. He said that the thinking of TMC and Congress is not about development or employment. These parties only know how to spread nepotism and corruption.
The PM slammed TMC over issues of corruption. He said that the TMC has not spared even the children in their hunger to earn money. Mentioning the teacher recruitment scam, he said that TMC has put the future of the youth as well as the coming generations at stake. Poor parents have made their living by selling their houses and lands and taking loans. They bribed the ministers. Making a hard statement, the PM asserted “I guarantee you Modi will make them sell off their bungalows and cars.”
Targeting the I.N.D.I.A bloc, PM Modi said whether it is TMC, Left or Congress, they only appear to be three different parties, but the sins of all of them are the same, that is why they have formed the I.N.D.I.A bloc together. He further said that they have always given slogans to the poor, labourers, SC-ST, but wherever they ruled the governments, they left those states poor and West Bengal is an example of that.
