RIP Arun Jaitley: 'I have lost a big brother, a good friend,' India TV Chairman Rajat Sharma expresses grief
"I have lost a dear and close friend for five decades," Rajat Sharma said. "In his passing away, India has lost an able administrator, a fine jurist and an incorruptible politician. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti," India TV Editor-In-Chief and Chairman Rajat Sharma said.
Former Finance Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness. He was 66.
Jaitley had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness. His condition had steadily deteriorated, and he was put on life support. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart underwent dialysis on Thursday.
