Gusty weather torments mango growers in Moradabad

Moradabad has been witnessing strong winds and thunderstorm for past several days. This fierce weather has caused severe damage to mango harvest of the district. The unripe fruits fell off the trees due to gusty winds and can only be used for pickle purpose. The squall damaged several trees and branches in the orchards. Orchard owners and farmers are now struggling to come to terms with their losses. Mango is cultivated in Moradabad division in 21,000 hectare.
