French ministers hold crisis meeting as New Caledonia enters state of emergency
French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin held on Wednesday night (May 15) a crisis meeting on the situation in New Caledonia as the Pacific island entered a state of emergency and police reinforcements were sent to the territory.
