Umesh Pal murder case: The plan to kill Umesh Pal was allegedly made on February 21, police said. The shooters went to the spot but due to the presence of crowd and police vehicles on the road, the plan was not executed. Umesh Pal and his two police security guards were shot dead on February 24 outside his residence in Prayagraj's Dhoomanganj area.
Police got to know about this after analysing February 21st CCTV video which was installed outside Umesh Pal's house. First Umesh Pal's car stops then a white-coloured Creta SUV following his car also slows down. Umesh Pal gets down from his car and starts to walk towards his house. The Creta also moves slowly towards his house. Armaan and Guddu Muslim are also seen waiting on red bike on the left side of the car. At the same time a police jeep passes by oblivious of the fact what is about to unfold next. It is suspected that all the shooters went back to gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed's house in Chakiya.
After the failed attempt, the incident was executed on February 24th. The CCTV clearly shows that the Creta car used in the incident is also the same, the red bike is also the same on which Armaan and Guddu Muslim rode. It is being told that Usman and Ghulam also stayed behind the car and went to the electronic shop.
Police have started the investigation after taking possession of this CCTV video.
9mm pistol recovered from Atiq lawyer's house
The Uttar Pradesh Police has recovered a 9mm pistol and cartridges from Atiq Ahmed's lawyer's house. During the interrogation of Atiq Ahmed's lawyer Khan Saulat Hanif, the police also recovered a total of 3 mobile phones including an Apple phone which was used to plot the murder. The police custody of Saulat Hanif, a co-accused in Umesh Pal murder, ends today at 6 PM.
Umesh Pal's wife releases poster expressing gratitude
Meanwhile, Umesh Pal's wife Jaya Pal issued a poster on Tuesday, expressing her gratitude for the decimation of the killers of her husband and BSP MLA Raju Pal. The poster carried the images of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP MLA Sidharth Nath Singh. It also had the images of Umesh Pal, Jaya Pal and Raju Pal.
