Uttar Pradesh: Khatu Shyam has put out a new notice regarding the new dress code advising them not to wear short-length clothes inside the temple premises.
Uttar Pradesh: A dress code has been implemented for both men and women entering the premises of the Khatu Shyam temple. According to a new notice put out by the temple committee on the wall, no devotee is allowed to wear short-length clothes, ribbed jeans, mini skirt, Bermuda and night suits on the premises of the temple. The committee has politely asked the visitors to follow the dress code inside the temple.
The dress code has been implemented to maintain discipline, decorum and values of the Hindu culture. Naveen Goyal, a devotee said, "A dress code has been implemented in the temple. This is a good decision. People must wear clothes that are appropriate for the temple."
Barsana's Radharani temple had banned 'short clothes'
Earlier, the Barsana's Radharani temple had banned the entry of people wearing half-pants, Bermuda shorts, and mini skirts. The temple authority has issued an order that bars people wearing half-pants, Bermuda shorts, and mini skirts from entering the temple. Rasbihari Goswami, a temple official informed that a poster pasted outside the temple informs that the order will come into effect in a week.

A century-old Jain Temple in Shimla had also banned the entry of people wearing short-length clothes in order to maintain discipline, decorum and values of the Hindu culture.
The Temple, which is run by Shree Digambar Jain Sabha, had put out a notice regarding the new dress code outside the temple.
“All women and men should come to the temple wearing decent clothes. Those wearing short clothes, half pants, Bermuda, mini skirt, night suit, torn jeans, frock and three-Quarter jeans etc. should only pay obeisance outside the temple premises," the temple notice reads.
