Uttar Pradesh: In a horrific road accident, at least 5 people were killed in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya after a bus rammed into a truck on Friday. Meanwhile, about a dozen people who were injured were rushed to the hospital.
According to the sources, the accident occurred near booth number four on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway. The private bus was headed to Ambedkar Nagar from Lucknow. The accident was so dangerous that the bus got buried under the truck.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident, his office said in a tweet in Hindi. The chief minister also directed the district administration to take the injured to the hospital immediately and provide them with proper treatment.
Earlier on Saturday (April 15), a major accident took place in Shahjahanpur of UP itself when a tractor-trolley overturned. Many people including women and children were killed in this accident. During this, many were also seriously injured.
The accident was so gruesome that the railing of the tractor-trolley bridge broke and fell down. All these devotees had come to fill water in the Garra river. The incident took place near Birsingpur village of Thana Tilhar area.
