On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will gift 35 development projects worth Rs 343 crore to Gorakhpur on Sunday. The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony for these projects will be held in the afternoon at Ramlila Maidan in Manasarovar.
Additionally, he will also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for 41 upcoming projects. These include the construction of the Bhandu Singh commercial complex, a multi-level parking facility estimated at Rs 27.53 crore, and the Gaurav Sangrahalaya (museum) with an estimated cost of Rs 20.43 crore.
Development projects to be inaugurated
The development projects that he will inaugurate include two jal nigam nagariya worth Rs 193,69,70,000, three projects by the Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam (UPRNN) worth Rs 4,32,68,000, and 30 projects by the Nagar Nigam (Municipal Corporation) worth Rs 19,08,19,000.
The chief minister will lay the foundation stones for projects related to the Rural Engineering Department, UP Projects Corporation, UPRNN 1st, Nagar Nikay (Municipal Corporation), Public Works Department (PWD), District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), and other departments. These projects include roadways, drainage systems, sewage management, heritage preservation, trauma centre, and checking traffic congestion in busy areas of the city.
Earlier this month, the chief minister had gifted Gorakhpur development projects totalling around Rs 629 crore. On September 2, he inaugurated and laid the foundation of 195 development projects, with a significant focus on rural drinking water projects.
