Ram Temple: The idol of Ram Lalla will be placed on an eight-feet-tall gold-plated marble throne inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, artisans in Rajasthan are constructing the throne and it will reach Ayodhya by December 15. The throne will be eight feet tall, three feet long and four feet wide.
Ram temple's ground floor work underway
Anil Mishra, a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that the construction of the sanctum sanctorum has been completed. He also stated that the ground floor of the Ram temple has to be prepared by December 15 and 80 per cent of the work on the first floor has been completed.
"As many as 17 pillars on the first floor have been installed, and only two more are remaining. It is expected that the roof of the first floor will be built by December 15," Mishra added. The flooring work of Parikrama Marg has also been completed. Now the work of laying marble on the floor of the Griha Mandap is going on, he informed.
The roofs of all three floors of the passenger convenience centre have been built, and by the end of November, the final touches will be added to the Ram Mandir's outside wall, or "parkota," which serves as the entrance gate, he added. Mishra also said devotees have donated large amounts of gold and silver items which will be melted as it is difficult to store them. The melting work will be done under the guidance of a reputed organisation.
Ram temple is going to be ready soon: PM Modi
Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Ram temple in Ayodhya will soon be ready, and hailed the contribution of Hindu spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya in its making. Speaking at a public function at Tulsi Peeth of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya at Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh, the PM also said that Sanskrit is not only the language of traditions, but also of our progress and identity.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reflect the feelings of crores of devotees of Lord Ram. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra invited the Prime Minister for the consecration ceremony expected to take place on January 22.
