Shri Ramjanmbhoomi Temple at UP’s Ayodhya celebrated the auspicious occasion of Akhshaya Tritiya with great fervour on Friday. The temple premise was filled with devotees and decorated beautifully with flowers and fruits.

Offerings from all across India reached the temple. One of the eye-catching offerings came from Maharashtra’s Pune with bottles of mango juice and eleven thousand Hapus mangoes. There was also an additional crate of seasonal fruits for the offering.

The attire of Ram Lall was made using the traditional Assamese textiles Eri & Moonga Silk ‘the golden threads of Assam’. The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra posted the image on X and satiated, “It’s created out of real gold threads from Assam, Yet again the motifs used are of Vaishnav Chinha of Shankh, Chakra, Gada, Mayur & Padma.”

The day is also celebrated as the birth day of Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Considered holy by both Hindus and Jains, it signifies the "third day of unending prosperity".

This is the first celebration of Akshaya Tritiya in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya after the temple was consecrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. Earlier on April 17, the temple celebrated the first Ram Navmi. On that occasion, Surya tilak ritual was performed at the temple, during which the sun ray was directed upon the forehead of the idol of Ram Lalla through the scientific measures.
