Noida: A 2011-batch IAS officer and Jaunpur Collector Manish Verma has been named as the new District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), after Yogi government in a bureaucratic reshuffle transferred 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers on Monday.
Manish Verma is an IIT-Kanpur graduate and had served as additional CEO of Noida Authority in May 2017 before he was transferred as Kaushambi DM.
Prior to this, Verma had also served in bureaucratic services in Mathura and Pratapgadh.
Noida's incumbent DM Suhas LY has been appointed as the Sports Secretary with posting in Lucknow.
Suhas LY, the World No. 3 para-badminton player and a Paralymic medallist, had replaced BN Singh as the Gautam Buddh Nagar DM in 2020.
BN Singh was transferred for reportedly failing to control the spread of coronavirus.
