The police Monday arrested three more accused in the case involving assaulting and urinating on a class 12 student in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.
With the apprehend of three men, the total number of arrests rose to four in the case. One person was arrested on Sunday.
According to the police, a class 12 student in Meerut was beaten and urinated in the face by a group of youngsters. The incident took place on November 13.
The police swung into action after the video of the incident went viral on social media.
The video shows a man beating up the victim in a deserted place while two other accomplices record the scene.
The accused were later identified as Avi Sharma, Ashish Malik, Rajan, and Mohit Thakur. While others accused are yet to be identified.
Meerut SP Piyush Singh said Section 294, which pertains to committing obscenities in public places, has been added to the charges for humiliating acts.
