Union Home Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Amit Shah took a dig at the Congress party on Monday and said that after the results of Lok Sabha elections will be declared, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will lose his job. He further said that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will not be blamed for the defeat.
Shah said,” Mallikarjun Kharge needs to understand that these siblings (Rahul-Priyanka) won't be blamed and that he will be blamed for the loss and will be sacked from his job."
Moreover, Shah said Rahul Gandhi's people will also do a press conference post polls, saying they lost due to EVMs. Amit Shah was addressing a poll rally in Kushinagar.
He said, "I have the details of the first five phases. In five phases of the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi has crossed 310 seats. Rahul will not cross 40 and Akhilesh Yadav will not get even 4 seats on June 4."
Accusing the opposition parties, he also said that they will snatch reservation of Dalits, backwards and tribals and give it to Muslims but the BJP will not let it happen.
Shehzade do not know problems of Purvanchal: Amit Shah
He compared the competing sides in these Lok Sabha elections and said that one side, there in PM Modi, who is born in the house of Backwards and is taking the nation ahead, while on the other side are two ‘Shehzade’ —Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav— born with a silver spoon and do not know the problems of Purvanchal (Eastern UP).
He also raised questions on BSP chief Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav saying that in their tenure sugar mills were shut down, while Yogi Adityanath government reopened 20 sugar mills.
The Home Minister also hailed the Modi government decision of 20 per cent ethanol blending. He said that it helped in lowering the price of fuels while the farmers got the extra share of money.
Polling in Kushinagar
Kushinagar along with 12 other Lok Sabha constituencies are slated for polls in the last phase on June 1. BJP has fielded sitting MP Vijay Kumar Dubey against Samajwadi Party’s Ajay Pratap Singh. The contest is likely to be bipolar. Earlier in 2019, Dubey defeated SP’s Nathuni Prasad Kushwaha with a huge margin.
Dubey polled 5,97,039 votes while Kushwaha managed to get 2,59,479 votes.
