A cop said that they have likewise detained the local man, an occupant of Greater Noida, who had given shelter to the woman. The official said that the Pakistani woman contacted the man through a web-based PUBG game.
“The woman, Seema Ghulam Haider, was staying at a rented accommodation in Greater Noida with her four children. A team from Rabupura police station is questioning her and the man,” the officer said, as quoted by IANS.
"The man and the woman are being questioned right now. Further details and facts would be shared once the questioning is over," Khan said. “Concerned agencies have been informed, and appropriate legal action is being taken,” the officer added.
Seema and Sachin met on the gaming stage. They began chatting with one another on the web and, at last, fell in love. Sachin fled Seema and her four children when he learned that the police might have known about her presence.
A victim of domestic abuse in Pakistan
Seema was a victim of domestic abuse in Pakistan, according to lawyer and police. "She told me she was married to a Pakistani man who works in Saudi Arabia, and he would beat her for every little thing. She said she hadn't met him in four years. She also said her brother is with the Pakistani army," the lawyer said, as quoted by TOI.
Brijesh, the owner of the apartment where the couple resided, informed police that they had rented the house in May. Sachin and Seema have been captured by police, and further examination is on.
