Kannauj: The Kannauj district administration in Uttar Pradesh has demolished the three-story house of history-sheeter Ashok Yadav, also known as Munna, in the Dharanidheer Pur Nagaraya village of the Vishunagard police station area on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, the administration's team arrived and carried out the demolition with the help of the JCB.

Accused of killing police constable
The history-sheeter had attacked the police on December 25, 2023, to evade arrest. During the treatment of Police constable Sachin Rathi (28), who was injured by a bullet fired by history-sheeter Ashok Yadav, alias Munna, he died in Kanpur.
Earlier, the body of the deceased constable was sent to the police line with state honours. When the body of constable Rathi reached the police line on Tuesday afternoon, the state honor was given in the presence of senior police officials, including Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand. They paid floral tributes to the fallen police officer. The Superintendent of Police told reporters that on Monday night Munna, along with family members, attacked the police team that had gone to arrest the history-sheeter in Dharni Dheerpur Nagariya village of Vishungarh police station area and started firing. In this case, Munna, along with his wife and an underage son, was arrested by the police. The husband and wife have been sent to jail, while the son has to a juvenile home.
In this incident, constable Rathi was shot in the thigh. The officer said that the injured constable was undergoing treatment in Kanpur. The constable died after few hours of the attack. When the police took action in this firing, history-sheeter Ashok Kumar and his son were also shot. According to the information, the criminal and his son were sent to Tirva Medical College for treatment. The police said that two pistols have been recovered from the history-sheeter and his son, with which they used to fire at the police. He said that during the search a double barrel rifle was also recovered from his house.
