A school principal in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh has been booked on charges of molestation of female students. More than 50 girls of the school have alleged that the principal made inappropriate advances towards them and also touched them inappropriately after calling them to his office.
The school principal, in turn, got an FIR registered against some parents alleging that they physically assaulted him on the school premises, causing him injuries. The police have filed cases from both parties and have initiated an investigation.
Principal misbehaved with many students
A student said that on August 21, the principal called her into his room and behaved inappropriately. “On August 21, the principal called me to his room and misbehaved with me. I ran out of the room crying and told the other female students about it. That's when I learned that the principal engages in such behaviour with most of the female students," she said.
Meanwhile, the principal has filed a written complaint with the police, stating that several villagers forcefully entered his office and physically assaulted him, causing severe injuries to his head.
FIR has been registered
ACP Saloni Agarwal from Ghaziabad explained that both parties have lodged complaints against each other at Wave City police station. The principal has accused some individuals of forcefully entering the school, engaging in misconduct, assaulting him, and causing head injuries, while the students accused the principal of harassment. Cases have been registered from both sides. The investigations are ongoing, and actions will be based on the findings.
