Death threat to UP CM Yogi Adityanath; message received on Dial 112

The security of UP CM Yogi Adityanath was increased since gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was killed in Prayagraj. Police launched a probe into the latest threat.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been threatened with death through a message on dial 112, an official said on Tuesday. 

Information about receiving threats has been given to all security agencies including UPATS, he added.

The threat message was received on Dial 112 on April 23 night, in which. An FIR was registered at Sushant Golf City Police station on April 24. Police initiated an investigation into the matter.

Yogi received threats in past as well

Since the encounter of gangster Asad and then the murder of his father Atiq Ahmed and uncle Ashraf, the security of CM Yogi has been increased. On April 18, he was threatened with death on social media. According to the police, a person named Aman Raza had posted a message on Facebook threatening to shoot the chief minister.

Even before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi were threatened in a mail sent to a news channel. During the investigation, the police found out that the email was sent from Lucknow. And later, Noida police detained a teenager from Lucknow.
