In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old construction worker died and three others suffered injuries after a wall collapsed on them during digging work at the site in Noida on Monday (November 18) evening.

According to the information released, the incident occurred at an empty plot near the Hanuman Temple in Bahlolpur village, under Sector 63 police station limits. "During the excavation work, the wall of an adjoining shop collapsed. Four people suffered injuries. But they were subsequently rescued and immediately taken to a hospital. One of them, identified as Jitendra (22), a construction worker, succumbed to the injuries," the police mentioned.
Significantly, the officials also mentioned the identity of the deceased as well as the injured. They stated the deceased Jitendra hails from Pukhroli village in the Jalalpur area of Ambedkar Nagar district, while those injured were identified as Kalu (35), Prashant (15), and Mayaram (22).
Investigation underway
Meanwhile, the police stated that they had registered a case based on a complaint from the deceased's family and subsequently also arrested two people in connection to the incident. Further legal action is underway, the officer added.
