Disgust and anger are simmering online after an X user, Udit Bhandari, shared a post exposing a couple's outrageous scheme to score free meals at high-end restaurants. The Gurugram couple, described as middle-aged, reportedly carries a dead fly with them while dining. Midway through their meal, they'd discreetly plant the fly in their food and then create a scene, claiming the restaurant served them contaminated food.
Bhandari encountered the couple at a social gathering in Gurugram. According to him, the couple claimed to dine often at upscale restaurants in Delhi and Gurugram. During their meals, they purportedly insert a fly into their food midway through, causing a disturbance and subsequently avoiding payment. The individual stated that the couple does this "for fun," suggesting they are not financially constrained.
Bhandari wrote, "Met a middle-aged couple at a party who revealed something quite disgusting. Apparently, it's something they do for fun, as they don't seem tight on money. They have, on several occasions, gone out to dine at 5* restaurants in Delhi/Gurgaon and carried with them a dead fly! Yes, a dead fly!"
''Halfway into their meal, they would quietly slip this into their food & then create a huge fuss over it. The management in a bid to placate them would either not charge for that dish or in most cases make their entire meal free. They were proud to share his 'hack' for getting free meals and said have done this many many times,'' Mr Bhandari added.
